As part of the Institut Pasteur de Dakar’s 100th anniversary, I designed a visual timeline that highlights the institute’s key scientific milestones — from its early laboratory activities in 1896 to the groundbreaking of CARE and the development of RNA-based technologies. The goal was to translate a century of innovation into a clear and engaging narrative. I structured the design along a horizontal timeline, using a 6x6 grid system and a modular composition to ensure visual balance and readability. Each milestone is visually anchored by a circular marker, symbolizing both continuity and evolution, while a progressive color gradient guides the eye from past to present. The integration of CARE’s red signature and the Institut Pasteur’s blue tones creates a visual dialogue between heritage and innovation. The design not only celebrates scientific achievement but also reinforces CARE’s mission: to educate, innovate, and transform the future of global health.
